400 Sinhalese families resettled in Vavuniya

Furniture were presented to 400 Sinhalese families that were resettled in Vavuniya after 18 years. The function was held under the patronage of Minister of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services Risath Bathiyudeen.

This programme is being carried out under the guidance of the head of the “Uthuru Wasanthaya” Task Force and Senior Presidential Advisor and Parliamentarian Basil Rajapaksa.

Each family was also handed over 25 thousand rupees. The Minister said that the infrastructure of the area would be completed within the coming days. The people expressed confidence of being able to lead normal lives as peace has been dawned.
