SEC to build houses in Libya

The State Engineering  Corporation has agreed with the Government of Libya to build housing schemes in Libya, Minister of Construction and Engineering Services Rajitha Senaratne said at the media briefing held at the Ministry of Mass Media and Information today (20).

He pointed out that, it was expected to complete this project within two years at a cost of US $ 500 million. This project  will  build 2500 houses in a one complex. It scheduled to start construction  this December.

If the  Libyan Government appears satisfied with the above project, it is expected to give another construction of 7500 houses to the Sri Lankan Engineering Corporation, he added.
